Terms of service

Last updated Nov 2, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Okechukwu Ikwunze ("we") for the Harbour Kitchen app. By using Harbour Kitchen you accept them and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old.

2. Your account

You can use Harbour Kitchen as a guest or sign in with email or Google. Keep your sign-in details safe; you're responsible for what happens in your account. A guest's recipes live only on that device until the guest creates an account. Guests can enter recipes by hand; AI imports and data export need a free account.

3. Free and Premium

4. Your content

Your recipes, notes, photos, plans and lists stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Harbour Kitchen for you, including sharing them with the household members you choose. You can export or delete them at any time; a guest needs a free account to export.

5. Recipes from other people

Recipes you import belong to their creators. Harbour Kitchen saves them for your personal use and keeps a link and credit to the original. Don't republish imported recipes as your own or use Harbour Kitchen to copy content you have no right to. When you import from social media, you supply the caption or screenshots and confirm you may use them for your own cooking. We don't download videos. If you believe content in Harbour Kitchen infringes your rights, contact harbourkitchenplus@gmail.com.

6. AI estimates and food safety

Harbour Kitchen uses AI to read recipes, identify dishes, estimate quantities and answer questions. AI can be wrong, so estimated details are marked "AI estimate" for you to check. Nutrition figures are estimates matched from USDA FoodData Central. Allergen information comes from the ingredient list and means "may contain"; allergen, dietary and nutrition information is never guaranteed. Always check ingredients and labels yourself, especially for allergies or medical diets. Harbour Kitchen does not give medical or nutritional advice.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Harbour Kitchen: no breaking the law, harassing household members, uploading harmful or illegal content, overloading or reverse-engineering the service, or using automated means to extract data from it or from the platforms it links to.

8. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, or by following the delete-my-account page on our website. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Google Play subscription. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it. Paid subscriptions are handled under section 3.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Harbour Kitchen is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and your data safe but can't promise it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Maryland, USA, and disputes go to the courts of Maryland, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to use your own courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms and will tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. Continuing to use Harbour Kitchen means you accept the new terms. Last updated: Nov 2, 2026.
